Some homes hold more than memories.
They hold pieces of our hearts.
Our clients raised five children in the family home they cherished for decades. It was where birthdays were celebrated, holidays were shared, and countless family memories were made. But it was also the home that forever held the memory of their beautiful daughter.
At just 16 years old, Her life was tragically taken by a drunk driver. In an instant, this family’s world changed forever.
Their daughter was a caring, compassionate, brilliant young woman with an incredible artistic talent. She also had a lifelong love of Disney. One day, she painted Pluto directly onto the hardwood floor in her bedroom—a whimsical reminder of the joy she brought to everyone around her.
Years passed, but leaving that home meant leaving behind so many precious reminders of her. It was one of the hardest decisions they had ever made.
As closing day approached, we had one special request for the new homeowners. We asked if we could carefully remove the section of hardwood flooring that held her hand-painted Pluto. They graciously said yes.
The piece was professionally removed, cleaned, and preserved.
A short time after our clients had settled into their new home, they invited us over for dinner. We arrived with a surprise.
We presented them with the Pluto painting, beautifully preserved as a keepsake they could carry with them into this new chapter of their lives.
There wasn’t a dry eye in the room.
Today, that special piece of artwork hangs proudly in their new home—a daily reminder that while we sometimes have to leave a house behind, we never leave behind the people we love.
Helping families buy and sell homes is what we do. Helping preserve the memories that matter most is a privilege we will never take for granted.
